A New KBA Rapida 105 Press Will Significantly Increase Uptime for Royle Printing

Source: Printing Impressions

Sun Prairie, WI - Royle Printing recently decided to purchase a new five-color KBA Rapida 105 sheetfed press. Royle is currently constructing a 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility for storage, alleviating the space constraints in its existing location. The new Rapida 105 also comes in the wake of the firm's purchase of its third web press and a new perfect binder.

"Our growth is indicative of the great care we take in serving our customers, their work and our associates," says Chris Carpenter, Royle's president. "Our success rests on one word - culture - and how we deliver value and service to our clients."

Carpenter adds that the firm wanted to update its sheetfed capabilities due to growth. The new KBA Rapida press, he says, will play an important role in the firm's production, producing both aqueous and UV coated covers with LED-UV curing.

Royle Printing's latest expansion of a new warehouse and production facility is close to completion in the Sun Prairie Business Park. The new 40,000 sq. ft. facility will be used for warehousing with the potential for additional expansion of production.

Updated - May 2017

The agreement essentially gives Royle the 12.11 acre parcel located between Columbus Street and Success Way with the estimated initial construction value of the 40,000 sq. ft. facility will be $2.1 million along with $7.5 million in furniture, fixtures and equipment.

President & CEO of Royle Printing, Chris Carpenter, explained the reasons behind adding the new location in the Sun Prairie Business Park, "The new facility will serve as a warehouse for paper and finished goods, with the possibility of adding some light manufacturing in the coming months or year, This will allow us to convert space at our primary location at 745 S Bird Street into manufacturing."

The agreement with the City of Sun Prairie requires Royle to take occupancy of the new facility by July 1, 2017, but Carpenter said the company is aiming to occupy the facility during the first quarter of 2017.
